Dear Friends of Belfast International Horse Show

As you will probably be aware, BIHS 2004 was not a profit making operation. I am determined that the show will be a financial success that mirrors the performance success and acclaim that the show is receiving. Obviously one of the biggest income streams for the show is sponsorship. On numerous occasions, I have people state to me "I would love to do something to help but I cannot afford to give the sums of money involved in class sponsorship etc"

To this end we have formed Friends of Belfast International Horse Show. This is a group of people who have made donations to the sponsorship fund and will be credited within the schedule. The members of this elite group will receive VIP Tickets to a performance of their choice (or VIP Tickets to all performances with a hospitality or sponsorship package) depending on the size of the donation.

Everybody states that the show is intrinsic to the success of the Irish Equestrian Industry and must succeed. I have battled tirelessly to ensure that the show succeeds. This is an opportunity for everyone to make a donation to secure the events future.

We have proven our commitment to the event, including £1M investment and our application to host a World Cup Qualifier in 2006. The outcome of this application will be announced immediately after 2005's event. Unfortunately our investors have capped their investment after 2005's event. We have to make the show work on a financial bases, all of us working as a team.

I hope this is an opportunity for people who benefit from the event in anyway to show their commitment. Without wanting to sound dramatic, we all have an opportunity to ensure the show has a future but we only have this year to achieve it.
